Job summary

Western/Scott Fetzer Company, part of Marmon Holdings, seeks an experienced machinist to operate Acme Gridley multi-spindle screw machines. You will inspect fluids and pressures, manage documentation, and work with routing packages to meet quality specs.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma with 1+ year machining experience, possess strong mechanical skills, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced shop environment. Competitive pay and strong safety culture are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; at least 1 year machining experience.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and manufacturing docs.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hand tools and measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Operate Acme Gridley multi-spindle automatic screw machines to manufacture parts to specification.
• Inspect coolant, oil level and air pressure before operating the machine.
• Use shop packages (MOs, BOMs, routings, part prints, job layouts, quality alerts).
• Ensure gauges/tools are within calibration dates.
• Operate multiple machines as routing requires.
• Perform in-process quality checks and document results.
• Request raw materials timely and maintain inventory records.
• Follow safe working practices and report unsafe conditions.
• Replace worn tools and sharpen with a bench grinder.
• Demonstrate respectful behavior with all employees.
