Job summary

Chromalox in Ogden, Utah, is seeking a Machinist II for the Day Shift to set up and operate mills, lathes, and other machining centers to fabricate precision parts for our industrial heating solutions.

You will verify conformance to specifications, measure with micrometers and height gauges, select and secure fixtures and tools, and adjust controls to maintain tolerance. We’re committed to a safe, efficient shop and to teamwork that drives TPM and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints, work orders, diagrams, and instructions with accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret measurement devices and print specifications.
• Detail-oriented with ability to maintain tolerances and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates machines and machining centers to fabricate parts and assemble units.
• Verifies conformance of processes or work piece to specifications and measures dimensions.
• Selects and aligns fixtures, tools, and attachments on mills, lathes, grinders, and shapers; maintains safety.
