Job summary

ESAB Corporation in Hanover, PA is seeking a Lab Technician specializing in Machining, NDE, and physical testing. The role involves operating manual and CNC equipment to produce weld metal test specimens and ensuring they meet AWS/ASME specifications.

You will inspect, document results, coordinate with lab staff, and develop radiographic test assemblies. The position requires Level II training in RT, MT, VT and a strong ability to maintain calibration records and support continuous improvement

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 5–8 years in manufacturing, machining, or lab work preferred.
• Experience with manual machining and CNC setup/operation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain manual and CNC machines to produce weld metal test specimens per specifications.
• Inspect specimens for dimensional accuracy and document data.
• Coordinate with lab staff to prioritize testing activities and ensure timely results.
• Prepare assemblies for radiographic examination and produce quality radiographs.
• Achieve and maintain Level II RT/MT/VT competency.
• Record test results and ensure compliance with specifications.
