Job summary

Grundfos in Brookshire, Texas, is seeking a skilled Machinist II to operate and set up both manual and CNC machines, producing precision components for Grundfos pump solutions.

You will interpret blueprints and GD&T, select tools and fixtures, monitor operations for tolerances, deburr parts, and contribute to a high‑quality manufacturing team. This is a 2nd shift role with potential flexibility to other shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Proficient in GD&T and precision measurement with calipers, micrometers, and indicators.
• Ability to hold tight tolerances across multiple machine types.
• Experience operating manual machines (lathes, mills, grinders) and CNC machines.

Responsibilities

• Perform job assignments on manual and CNC machines including lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses, and other standard shop equipment
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and sequence of operations
• Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, and materials; measure and mark reference points for machining
• Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out‑of‑tolerance conditions and make necessary adjustments
• Set up CNC lathes and mills, producing products with minimal program adjustments while maintaining close tolerances
• Deburr finished parts and ensure quality before advancing them to the next production stage
