Job summary

Prolec-GE Waukesha, Inc. is seeking a Machinist for heavy manufacturing of transformer components. You will learn to set up, lay out, mark, and fabricate components using a range of tools and machines, reading prints and BOMs to meet specifications.

You will operate band saws, drills, lathes, milling machines, and related equipment, while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency. The role requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Prior experience in Machining/Fabrication or Heavy Mechanical preferred.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Uphold safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Follow prints, specifications, BOMs to ensure precise assembly.
• Operate and set up industrial machines per procedures.
