Job summary

TEL Staffing is seeking a Machinist - Grinder to join our team in Fairhope, AL. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience to machine and repair parts per overhaul manuals, grinding and inspecting with micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges and grinders to tight tolerances.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, logging labor in company software, complying with safety rules, and supporting the production schedule.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience as a machinist is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in grinding is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings accurately.
• Proficient in using precision measuring tools and gauges.
• Must pass background and FAA/DOT screening per regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operates grinders, mills, and related equipment to produce parts per specifications.
• Reads blueprints and uses micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
• Maintains tight tolerances to at least + or - .0005 inches.
• Logs labor in company software and supports production scheduling.
• Adheres to safety procedures and uses PPE as required.
• Travellers as required and collaborates with supervisor on improvements.
