Job summary

Segers Aero Corporation in Fairhope, AL is seeking a Machinist - Grinder to join our team. The position is full-time on-site with a 9/80 schedule, every other Friday off. You will machine and repair various parts, read blueprints, and ensure tight tolerances.

Required: High School Diploma or GED and 3 years machinist experience; 1 year grinding preferred. DOT FAA drug screen and background checks are required; ITAR/EAR verifications may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three (3) years of experience as a machinist required.
• One (1) year in grinding preferred.
• Tool and die making and CNC experience a plus.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must pass a DOT FAA pre-employment drug screen.
• Safety-sensitive position per FAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs to parts and components using grinders and various hand tools.
• Uses micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other precision tools.
• Reads blueprints to specifications and logs labor in company software.
• Operates mills, lathes, and grinders while maintaining safety procedures.
