ALIGN PRECISION is seeking a skilled machinist/grinder to set up and operate grinding equipment, securing parts with fixtures and inspecting tolerances. You will select wheels, control speeds and feeds, and dress the wheel to meet specifications while adhering to OSHA safety guidelines.

Documentation and quality checks are essential parts of the role. The position requires reading blueprints, mil-spec knowledge, and the ability to work accurately in a precision environment.

Qualifications

• Blueprint reading and mil-spec knowledge is required.
• Ability to read and interpret exacting drawings.
• Commitment to OSHA safety rules and PPE use.

Responsibilities

• Mounts and secures workpieces on fixtures or machine table.
• Selects grinding wheel and sets speeds/feeds.
• Operates controls to feed and dress wheel as needed.
• Inspects dimensions with micrometers and dial indicators.
• Performs grinding on nonmetallic materials when required.
• Completes required paperwork and documentation.
