Job summary

The CNC Machinist / Manual Machinist at Relyans is responsible for manufacturing, repairing, and modifying precision tooling used in automotive fastener production. You will program, set up, and operate CNC and/or conventional equipment to meet tight tolerances and surface finishes required for automotive applications.

You will support production uptime, tool life improvement, and zero-defect manufacturing in line with IATF 16949 quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• 1+ years machining experience preferred; physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Familiar with inventory or ERP systems; strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up and operate CNC mills and lathes; edit programs as needed.
• Operate manual lathes, mills and grinders; perform precision grinding.
• Inspect parts with micrometers and gauges; ensure tolerances per print.
• Support tooling production, repairs, and PPAP readiness; improve tool life.
• Collaborate with engineers to resolve issues and implement improvements.
