Job summary

Chart Industries is seeking a Machinist on the Day Shift at its New Prague, MN location to fabricate and repair parts for our manufactured products. The role emphasizes operating manual CNC mills and lathes, with preferred copper pipe bending experience and blueprints interpretation.

The position requires 2+ years in machining, attention to detail, and the ability to work with engineering and production teams.Safety and ISO procedures are a priority.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of machinist experience as stated.
• Experience with manual CNC mills and lathes.
• 3+ years of CNC pipe bending experience preferred.
• Read and interpret blueprints and sketches.
• Basic math, measurement and tolerances knowledge.
• Proven self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with engineering and production staff.

Responsibilities

• Fabricates and modifies parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines.
• Designs and fabricates fixtures as needed.
• Machines parts to specifications using lathes, mills, grinders or shapers.
• Measures, tests and ensures conformance to specs.
• Completes documentation of work performed.
• Maintains safety and quality procedures; housekeeping.
• Performs daily equipment inspections and ISO-related tasks.
• May work in other areas as needed.
