Job summary

Chart, Inc. in New Prague, MN is seeking a Machinist for the Day Shift to fabricate and modify parts and fixtures for machine tools and industrial equipment. The role requires reading blueprints, operating mills and lathes, and maintaining documentation.

Candidates should have 2+ years as a machinist, experience with CNC mills/lathes, and 3+ years of CNC pipe bending; safety and quality procedures are emphasized. Benefits and PTO are provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a machinist.
• Experience using manual CNC mills and lathes.
• 3+ years of CNC pipe bending on schedule 5 and 10 pipe preferred.
• Previous press brake or related CNC experience preferred.
• Read and interpret blueprints and design sketches.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Fabricates and modifies parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines.
• Designs and fabricates fixtures, as needed.
• Performs machining to specifications using lathes, milling machines, shapers or grinders.
• Measures, examines and tests completed units to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Complete documentation on all work performed.
• Adheres to safety and quality procedures.
