Job summary

Flowserve is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our Lynchburg, Virginia team. The role supports production of precision components used in valve applications across critical industries.

You will operate CNC and manual machines, read blueprints with GD&T, and uphold quality and safety while working with an experienced team.

First shift 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with overtime; 10-12 hour shifts during peak demand.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of machining experience in the last 10 years OR completion of Machine Shop Practices I-IV and related CNC programming training.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
• Experience with measuring equipment and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual equipment (VMCs, HMCs, lathes, grinders, etc.).
• Manufacture, modify and repair precision components per engineering specs.
• Read drawings, GD&T, routers; follow safety and quality requirements.
• Perform tool changes, minor program edits, and inspections of finished parts.
