Job summary

Flowserve Corporation is seeking a skilled Machinist for our Lynchburg, VA shop. The role involves operating CNC and manual machinery to produce precision valve components, reading complex drawings, and maintaining high quality and safety standards.

You will work with an experienced team on both CNC and manual tools, ensuring parts meet engineering specifications and tolerances. Union environment and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant machining experience within the last 10 years.
• Completion and passing grades in Machine Shop Practices I–IV, Metals & Heat Treatment or Numerical Control Programming.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and/or manual machining equipment (VMCs, HMCs, lathes, mills, grinders).
• Manufacture, modify, and repair precision components to engineering specs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, routers, and GD&T.
• Use micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, dial indicators, and other inspection tools.
