Job summary

Exegistics Staffing is seeking an experienced Machinist to set up and operate CNC lathes, CNC mills, and manual machines. You will read blueprints, inspect parts to tight tolerances, and work with metric and inch drawings in a team environment.

The role emphasizes quality, safety, and productivity, with use of micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, and optical comparators to ensure high-precision components.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the machining trade.
• Can independently set up and operate CNC and manual machines.
• Produce simple to complex parts to print.
• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and strong work ethic.
• Comfortable working with tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
• Work effectively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes, CNC mills, manual lathes, and manual mills.
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, including GD&T.
• Machine parts to print using metric and inch drawings.
• Hold and inspect tight tolerances—sometimes less than 0.001 inch.
• Produce simple to complex components using various machining equipment.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, and optical comparators.
• Devise creative part-holding methods when needed.
• Maintain quality, safety, and productivity.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
