Job summary

Responsibilities

• Reads process sheets, blueprints and sketches to determine machining to be done, dimensional specifications, and setup requirements.
• Mounts work pieces into a work clamp device.
• Selects and installs tooling in ports, turrets or indexing heads and automatic tool change magazine.
• Starts machine operation and checks CNC displays against print data for dimensional accuracy.
• Inspects first run piece and performs spot checks on subsequent pieces for quality and conformance.
• Organizes materials for next run and maintains safe, clean work area.
