Job summary

Chromalloy Gas Turbine, LLC is seeking a Machinist for the 2nd shift (3:00 pm–11:30 pm) to operate manual lathes and milling machines, fabricate and repair precision components, and interpret complex blueprints with GD&T. The ideal candidate will read technical drawings, maintain quality, and work with minimal supervision in a safety‑conscious team.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus a trade certificate in machining and experience on lathes, VTLs, grinding, and milling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Trade school certificate or specialized education in machining preferred.
• Experience operating manual machinery required.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Basic computer skills include Microsoft Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain manual machine tools to fabricate or repair precision components.
• Analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machine setups and sequences.
• Apply GD&T to ensure product conformity.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and pi tapes to meet specs.
• Maintain accurate inspection documentation and production records.
• Adhere to safety and housekeeping standards.
