Job summary

EKL Machine Company in Andalusia, PA, is seeking an enthusiastic machinist to join our precision climate-controlled shop. You will perform machining tasks on CNC mills, lathes, and EDM equipment, following safety and quality standards.

Candidates should have an associate degree or certificate, or 2 years machinist experience; capable of editing CNC programs at controls; able to lift 50 lbs; and committed to working Monday–Friday in first shift while maintaining a clean, organized work center.

Qualifications

• Related associate degree, certificate or minimum of 2 years machinist work experience.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Able to edit CNC programs at controls.
• Experience with Mazak lathes is preferred but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Willing and able to learn quickly.
• Capable of using standard tools and measurement devices such as micrometers, scales, rulers, depth gauges and calipers.
• Must be able to work independently with minimum guidance.
• Follow written and verbal instructions.
• Candidate should perform work in a safe, organized and timely manner.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Ability to stand and perform other physical acts for entirety of scheduled shift.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and monitor machines according to provided specifications.
• Inspect parts and make adjustments to ensure quality is maintained.
• Transport completed parts to next work centers.
• Maintain a clean and professional work center.
• Complete basic maintenance on machines.
• Complete work on schedule.
