Job summary

EKL Machine, Inc. is seeking a Machinist for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm) at our Andalusia, PA facility.

You will perform machining tasks on CNC mills, lathes, and other precision equipment, under supervision, ensuring quality and timely production. The ideal candidate has a related associate degree or certificate or at least 2 years of machinist experience, HS diploma required, and the ability to edit CNC programs.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or certificate in machinist or equivalent experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to edit CNC programs at controls.
• Experience with Mazak lathes preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and quick learner.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and monitor machines according to specifications.
• Inspect parts and ensure quality.
• Transport completed parts to next work centers.
• Maintain a clean and professional work center.
• Complete basic maintenance on machines.
• Complete work on schedule.

2 nd Shift

Hours: Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Job Overview:

To perform machining tasks as directed by their supervisor in a safe and timely manner. Types of machines to include one or more of - CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, Jig Grinding, ID/OD Grinding, Surface Grinding, Wire and Sinking EDM as well as other Machine Shop support equipment.

Job Duties:

• Set up, adjust and monitor machines according to provided specifications
• Inspect parts and make adjustments to ensure quality is maintained
• Transport completed parts to next work centers
• Maintain a clean and professional work center
• Complete basic maintenance on machines
• Complete work on schedule

Qualifications:

• Related associate degree, certificate or minimum of 2 years machinist work experience
• High School Diploma/GED required
• Able to edit CNC programs at controls
• Experience with Mazak lathes is preferred but not required
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Willing and able to learn quickly
• Capable of using standard tools and measurement devices such as micrometers, scales, rulers, depth gauges and calipers
• Must be able to work independently with minimum guidance
• Follow written and verbal instructions
• Candidate should perform work in a safe, organized and timely manner
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Ability to stand and perform other physical acts for entirety of scheduled shift

Experienced candidates are desired, but need for training should not preclude application.
