Job summary

Woodward's Rock Cut Campus in Loves Park, IL is hiring for a 2nd shift Operations Technician to support the Manual Hone Machine in the Servo line and manufacture aerospace parts. The role requires following documented procedures, SOP adherence, and a mindset focused on quality and safety.

The position offers structured training in weeks 1–2, with shift hours 3:20pm-1:50am and overtime opportunities. It provides opportunities to grow within a supportive team and benefits such as a 401(k) match

Qualifications

1+ years of Manual Hone machining experience
Basic Mechanical aptitude
Basic computer skills (email, data entry, etc.)
Knowledge and ability to read and interpret blueprints

Responsibilities

Operations: Follows documented procedures, supports training of other members, and provides improvement opportunities to standard work.
Process: Maintains key process variables to ensure consistency and quality in operations.
Quality Control: Participates to improve clarity and accuracy in documented processes and procedures.
Safety Mindset: Encourages adherence to safety protocols within the team.
