Job summary

Rempco in Cadillac, MI is seeking a detail-oriented Machine Shop Estimator to join our fabrication team. You will review prints, 3D models, RFQs, and customer specs to produce accurate quotes for manual and CNC machining, fabrication, and assembly.

You will determine material needs, labor, and outside processing costs, develop cost structures in our quoting ERP, and work closely with production and engineering to ensure timely, competitive proposals.

Qualifications

• Review prints, RFQs, and customer specs.
• Estimate routing and process times for milling, turning, CNC and manual machining.
• Calculate raw material requirements and outside processing costs.
• Develop cost structures to produce competitive quotes in the ERP/quoting system.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret prints, 3D models, RFQs, and customer specs.
• Estimate routing and process cycle times for milling, turning, CNC and manual machining, and fabrication.
• Calculate raw material requirements, hardware needs, and outside processing costs.
• Develop accurate labor, material, and manufacturing cost structures to produce competitive customer quotes in our quoting/ERP system.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to verify manufacturing capabilities and lead times.
