Job summary

Rempco in Cadillac, MI is seeking a detail-oriented Machine Shop Estimator to join our fabrication team. You will review prints, 3D models, RFQs, and customer specs to produce accurate quotes for manual and CNC machining, fabrication, and assembly.

You will determine material needs, labor, and outside processing costs, develop cost structures in our quoting ERP, and work closely with production and engineering to ensure timely, competitive proposals.

We're seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Machine Shop Estimator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing technical drawings, calculating precise material and manufacturing costs, and preparing competitive quotes for manual and CNC machining, custom fabrication, and assembly projects. The ideal candidate blends technical knowledge of machining processes with strong analytical skills to ensure profitability and accuracy.**Key Responsibilities:**Review and interpret prints, 3D CAD models, RFQs, and customer specifications.Estimate routing and process cycle times for milling, turning, CNC and manual machining, and fabrication.Calculate raw material requirements, hardware needs, and outside processing costs (e.g., heat treating, chroming, etc).Develop accurate labor, material, and manufacturing cost structures to produce competitive customer quotes in our quoting/ERP systemCollaborate with production and engineering to verify manufacturing capabilities and lead times.Maintain and update the shop’s ERP/quoting system data to ensure pricing consistency and historical accuracy.Deliver IMPECCABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - this position is the front-line expert for Rempco.
