Job summary

Hilton Tool LLC is seeking an Estimator to support our precision machining operations. This role suits someone with a strong manufacturing background in CNC machining, programming, and low-volume, high-complexity parts.

You will work with customers, internal teams, and vendors to develop accurate cost and lead-time estimates and quote all jobs in our ERP system. Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a salary range of $80,000–$100,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Background in CNC machining with operator/programmer experience.
• Experience in a job shop with low-volume, complex parts.
• Experience estimating or quoting in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong print reading skills with GD&T knowledge.
• Strong math and analytical skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Project management experience is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost and lead-time estimates for complex machined parts.
• Build estimates in the ERP system including labor, materials, tooling, and outside processing.
• Review customer prints, CAD models, specifications, and standards.
• Define complete manufacturing approaches based on requirements and capabilities.
• Identify production risks and cost drivers during estimating.
• Adapt estimates and plans as scope or schedule changes.
• Maintain a strong customer focus in a custom machining job shop.
• Support issue resolution during manufacturing by evaluating root cause and recommending changes.
• Communicate with internal personnel, vendors, and subcontractors as needed.
• Request and manage vendor/subcontractor quotes.
• Prepare and present estimates and cost analyses to management.
• Track actual job costs to support continuous improvement and estimate accuracy.
