Job summary
Action Tool & Machine, INC. in Brighton, MI is seeking a skilled Cost Estimator with a strong machining background to join our team. Qualifications
- Strong understanding of machining processes, GD&T, CMM inspection and manufacturing workflows.
- Understanding of part modeling, CAD, and print interpretation.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Review & analyze blueprints, CAD models, and customer specifications to develop accurate cost estimates.
- Work with engineering and production to determine optimal machining strategies, inspection requirements and CMM programming needs.
- Prepare detailed estimates for new RFQs and change orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Enter and maintain estimate date, part numbers, revision levels and related documentation in the estimating system.
- Ensuring all labor, materials, subcontracted services, and inspection requirements are captured in the estimates.
