Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proven experience in machine setup and operation in manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications.
• Working knowledge of measurement tools and precision instruments.
• Strong attention to detail with focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate tools and machines according to written instructions, specifications, and standard charts.
• Review blueprints, work orders, and specifications to determine proper setup sequences and operating parameters.
• Select, install, and secure appropriate tools and fixtures for each production run.
• Position and fasten workpieces onto machine tables or holding devices using clamps, wrenches, or other tools.
• Prepare and adjust fixtures and feeding devices; start machines and engage feed mechanisms.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure consistent performance and output quality.
• Inspect measuring instruments (gauges, calipers, micrometers) to confirm calibration and condition.
• Regulate machine settings and controls to maintain optimal operation.
• Sharpen and maintain tools using bench grinders and other equipment.
