Major Responsibilities
- Work closely with the set-up lead to help set-up machines, including tooling
- Operate the machines to run quality parts
- Perform coil changes, make adjustments to the tooling
- Work with toolroom, production, engineering, & quality control toward solving technical problems
- Verify adherence to quality specifications using calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc
- Record data on production & quality control records
- Perform preventive maintenance procedures
Requirements
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of 5S
- Strong math skills
- Valid driver's license
- Able to understand and read prints
- Must be able to demonstrate/have a history of being mechanically skilled
- Die setting experience recommended
- Able to operate forklift and pallet jack
- Minimum 3 years experience in machine operation, set-up, and adjustment of tooling
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to stand, walk and bend most of the shift
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Some climbing, crawling, and kneeling
- Compliance with all Safety, TS16949 & ISO9000 requirements
Benefits
This position pays $24.81/hr plus the chance to earn an additional 8% weekly incentive and 3% attendance incentive each week, bringing pay to $27.54/hr. This is a union position for our dayshift — Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with training on day shift.
