Job summary

Engineering Services and Products Company is seeking a Machine Operator 2 to plan and produce a variety of machine parts with minimal supervision to meet ship dates. You will pick programs on machines to produce simple parts that meet print specifications.

Responsibilities include setting up tools, operating automated machines, reading blueprints, loading programs, and conducting in-process inspections while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of machine operation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of reading blueprints, drawings and tape measures.
• Knowledge of general N/C machine protocol and manufacturing methods.
• Knowledge of safety requirements and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to select programs on NC machines.
• Ability to produce parts from drawings and specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and procedures.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Set up tools, machines and fixtures for production runs.
• Operate automated and semi-automated machines to produce parts.
• Select and load programs for NC machines and other equipment.
• Read blueprints and shop drawings to meet specifications.
• Monitor machine performance and perform preventative maintenance.
• Inspect machined parts using measuring devices.
• Train new employees as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
