Job summary

Industrial Tectonics Bearings is seeking an experienced machine operator to run production jobs, change tools, and assist with tool selection from the crib. You will verify part conformance with precision measurements and participate in first article inspections.

The role requires you to move between machines as needed in a floater capacity, and to sharpen high-speed tools under supervision. This position is based in California with compensation described below.

Qualifications

• Operates machine tools to machine parts on a production basis.
• Reads process sheets and follows supervisor instructions.
• Uses micrometers, calipers and gages to check work after each operation.
• Performs first article inspection and obtains an inspection buy-off after the run.
• Holds a floater position, moving between machines as assigned.
• Grinds high speed tools using sharpening equipment under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate machine tools and change tools as required to maintain setup.
• Assist in procuring proper tools from Tool Crib.
• Verify conformance of parts and obtain inspection buy-off.
• Plot accurate charts as required by Quality Control.
