Responsibilities

• Operate machine tools to manufacture parts from various materials.
• Change tools as required to maintain the set-up.
• Procure proper tools from the Tool Crib and follow supervisor guidance.
• Perform first article inspection and monitor parts for conformance.
• Use micrometers, calipers and gauges to measure parts after each operation.
• Maintain float position by moving between machines as requested.
• Grind high speed tools using sharpening equipment under supervision.
