Job summary

MW Components, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator I to perform essential manufacturing steps including part trimming and drilling, meeting daily production needs and ensuring quality parts.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and adherence to procedures within a manufacturing environment in New Jersey. The incumbent will operate lathes and drilling equipment (HAAS), program HAAS drilling machines, and conduct basic preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specification sheets, and/or mechanical drawings and in precision measurement or become proficient through training.
• Computer literacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Trim plated parts to print specifications utilizing manual and programmable Lathes.
• Core drill parts using equipment including manual drill presses, lathes and programmable HAAS Drilling machines.
• Program HAAS machines for drilling operations.
• Performs preventative maintenance including fluid changes, lubrication and cleaning of machines when needed/directed by the Lead / Supervisor
• Accurately record production information on paper travellers and in the ERP system
• Maintains a clean machine and organized work area.
• Makes minor repairs and notifies maintenance for other maintenance needs.
• Performs variety of tasks such as counting, cleaning, returning gauges and fixtures, transferring of parts
• Use measuring equipment to maintain close tolerances
• Follows schedules and procedures
• Adaptable to cell and team concepts as well as cross-training
• Sees that all safety guards are in place and in good condition
• Assists other operators if necessary
• Inspects work in progress using equipment necessary and outlined in Quality or work instructions. Responsible for quality of own work; required to notify Supervisor or Lead if quality requirement is unclear or questionable
• All other duties as assigned
