Job summary

LiDestri Foods, Inc., a family-run manufacturer in Rochester, NY, is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to safely operate processing machinery, ensure product quality, and follow sanitation and safety guidelines. You will set up equipment, run and troubleshoot, perform SOPs, and support raw material handling.

The role emphasizes GMP, safety, attendance, and a continuous improvement mindset, with training opportunities and growth within the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior machine operation experience required.
• Ability to wear PPE and follow safety rules.
• Basic computer and math skills required.
• Experience with forklift operations is a plus.
• Lockout/Tagout certification is preferred.
• Continuous improvement and teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery, set up, run, changeovers, and troubleshoot.
• Maintain GMP standards around machinery.
• Perform SOPs for machinery in assigned area.
• Cross training or training on equipment as defined by manager.
• Maintain and issue raw materials into assigned work orders.
• Work in a safe manner, consistent with company safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain good attendance record per company policy.
• Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
