Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear seeks skilled Machine Operators to join a precision manufacturing team in Fort Worth, TX. You will set up and operate equipment, inspect finished parts, and maintain a clean, safe work area on a Monday–Friday shift.

You’ll follow process sheets, calibrate with measuring tools, and collaborate with peers to sustain quality and efficiency in a non-climate-controlled shop.

Qualifications

• Math and instruction reading in English; can log simple records.
• Must lift, push and position heavy parts; physically capable.
• Follow company timekeeping policies and procedures.
• Stand for an entire shift in a non-climate-controlled shop.
• Learn fundamental machining concepts and use measuring devices.
• Work closely with teammates and supervisors to improve processes.
• Maintain high accuracy and quality in outputs.
• Demonstrate reliability and consistent performance.
• Be flexible to adjust to production changes and precision needs.

Responsibilities

• Follow production instructions from sheets or supervisor to meet outcomes.
• Install machine fixtures and secure dies, punches, or blades.
• Set up and operate machines (lathes, mills, drills, presses, CNC) per specs.
• Monitor operations and verify product quality with calipers, micrometers, gauges.
• Maintain safety, PPE, and clean work area; use crane or buddy system for heavy parts.
• Assist in other areas as needed.
