Job summary

Alfa Laval is hiring a Machine Operator for the 2nd shift in the Tulsa/Broken Arrow area. You will set up, operate, and maintain conventional and special-purpose machines to fabricate parts with precision.

Reading blueprints, measuring with calipers, and adjusting machine operations are key parts of the role. You will work with a team to ensure quality and efficiency, maintaining a clean work area and following all safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of professional experience related to manufacturing preferred.
• Basic math skills including ability to read a tape measure and calipers required.
• Demonstrated ability to read blueprints preferred.
• Experience using industrial machines preferred.
• Forklift operation certification preferred.
• Overhead crane experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide materials to workstations and various locations as needed.
• Read blueprints or instructions for job specifications.
• Set up, operate, and maintain machines, including loading, machining, unloading, and de-burring.
• Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions for accuracy.
• Select and secure tools, fixtures, accessories, and materials.
• Monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments.
• Replace and install machined parts, ensuring proper functionality.
• May install machined replacement parts into mechanisms, equipment and test operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance.
• Maintain a tidy work area during and after each shift.
• Perform other assigned tasks as needed.
• Prioritize safety and adhere to company safety policies.
