Job summary

Accumet Engineering is seeking a Laser Marking Operator for its Devens, Massachusetts facility. The role sets up, programs, and operates laser marking, etching and engraving systems to mark serial numbers, barcodes, logos, and traceability data on precision components.

The candidate will collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure markings meet specifications, maintain safety and quality standards, and perform basic maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of hands-on production experience operating laser systems or precision tools.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program and operate laser marking, engraving and etching systems per schedules and work instructions.
• Load, adjust and optimize laser programs using CAD/CAM files or technical drawings.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality control to resolve print discrepancies and maintain safety and quality standards.
• Perform basic routine maintenance on equipment.
