Barr Brands International, Inc. in Memphis, TN is hiring for a production operator responsible for operating labeling and case-packing equipment to meet customer specs. You will perform machine setup, quality checks, and preventive maintenance under supervision of the Operations Supervisor.

Essential duties include handling jams, documenting downtime, and coordinating with lab personnel for approvals. Strong mechanical aptitude and 1+ year in manufacturing are preferred.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required and at least 1 year in manufacturing involving labeling, case packing, or related equipment.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude; ISO experience and OSHA PSM familiarity a plus.
• Must be computer literate and able to read, write, and comprehend English.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare machines for production and document work activities.
• Inspect equipment and materials to identify errors and minimize downtime.
• Operate equipment for transferring labels onto containers or packaging into cartons.
• Communicate with lab personnel for component approval before run.
• Perform total quality checks and setup/changeover tasks as per standards.
• Maintain preventive maintenance, logs, and housekeeping; handle down time records.
• Troubleshoot with mechanics and restart machines as needed.
• Occasionally shift between lines to meet production needs.
• Safely handle hazardous materials and dispose waste per procedures.
