Job summary

Pretium Packaging, L.L.C. is seeking an experienced Technician Operator to start up and run production lines. You will monitor machine set points, perform routine maintenance, inspect samples and ensure proper labeling and materials handling on the line.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent with mechanical training and 1–3 years of packaging/machinery experience. The role requires physical activity and adherence to safety and quality standards on site.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school education or equivalent plus mechanical training/aptitude and technical training on packaging, plastics and printing equipment.
• Requires a minimum of 1 to 3 years experience operating machines used in the packaging/plastics industry to gain sufficient skill to perform the requirements of the position.
• Reading, writing and speaking at a basic level.
• Arithmetic, algebra, geometry and trigonometry; perform unit conversions and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Start up production machines; verify machine set points are accurate.
• Ensure proper operation and perform minor maintenance and cleaning.
• Conduct quality inspections and sample checks during production.
• Record production and quality data and close out production runs.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety policies.
• Train other Technician Operators and assist with breaks and special projects.
