Job summary

ALS in Reno, NV is seeking a Sample Preparation Technician (P2) to work with client samples and prepare them for analysis in our labs. You will join the Sample Preparation Department and contribute to accurate, timely testing.

The role requires working with routine lab tasks, following safety rules, and collaborating with a team. Candidates should have good manual dexterity, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently when needed.

Qualifications

• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Basic alpha/numeric comprehension.
• Basic English communication skills (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Ringing, sieving (including International Soils), crushing, splitting under direct supervision
• Loading and unloading drying ovens under supervision
• Maintain own production logs
• General cleaning duties for basic lab cleanliness
• May assist with layout duties/tasks
• Handling compositing, screen metallics, special handling requests, etc.
• Inspecting equipment and inform senior employee if adjustment is required; analytical quality
• Observe established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
