Job summary

ALS Limited in Elko, NV is seeking a Sample Preparation Technician (P2) to work with client samples and prepare them for analysis in our labs.

You will perform ringing, sieving, crushing, and splitting samples, loading and unloading drying ovens, and maintaining production logs while ensuring general lab cleanliness. The role requires good hand‑eye coordination, the ability to work independently or with a team, and adherence to ALS safety policies.

Qualifications

• Good hand-eye coordination required.
• Strong organizational skills for sample prep and logging.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Basic alpha-numeric comprehension.
• Basic English communication (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Ringing, sieving (including International Soils), crushing, splitting under direct supervision.
• Loading and unloading drying ovens under supervision.
• Maintain own production logs.
• General cleaning duties for basic lab cleanliness.
• May assist with layout duties/tasks; handling compositing and special requests.
• Inspecting equipment and inform senior employee if adjustment is required.
