Job summary

Graziano's Group is seeking a Kitchen Prep to assist with a variety of food preparation tasks, including preparing cold foods and shellfish, slicing meat and desserts, ensuring quality and safety standards are met in a fast-paced environment.

You will clean and sanitize work areas, store and portion ingredients, assist cooks, and help with stocking and receiving supplies. Applicants should be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 15 pounds, and work late nights or unpredictable hours.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware.
• Store food in designated containers and storage areas; package take-out.
• Butcher and clean fowl, fish, poultry, and shellfish for cooking or serving.
• Prepare a variety of foods per orders or supervisor instructions per procedures.
• Take and record temperature of food and storage areas (refrigerators/freezers).
• Keep records of food quantities used.
• Wash, peel, and cut fruits and vegetables for cooking or serving.
• Place food trays over warmers or store in refrigerated cabinets.
• Provide food to servers once ready to be distributed on plates.
• Weigh or measure ingredients; stir and strain soups and sauces.
• Mix ingredients for various salads and dressings for sandwiches.
• Load dishes and tableware into dishwashing machines.
• Receive and store food supplies, equipment, utensils in storage areas.
• Remove trash and clean kitchen garbage containers.
• Assist cooks with tasks and provide cooks with needed items.
• Carry food supplies, equipment, utensils to/from storage and work areas.
• Cut, slice, peel, trim or grind meat, poultry, seafood as needed.
• Inform supervisors when equipment malfunctions or supplies are low; order items.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
