Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Entry Level Dimensional Inspector for on-site work in Mt. Vernon, Indiana.

The role involves performing in-process and final inspections, interpreting complex prints, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Training will occur on 1st shift, with potential 2nd shift and weekend rotations. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, strong math skills, and the ability to maintain accurate inspection records.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations for dimensional validation.
• Ability to maintain accurate inspection data documentation.
• Ability to work any shift, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections on products and components.
• Interpret manufacturing prints and specs; ensure tolerance and finish requirements.
• Set up machine setups and adjust as needed for proper inspection.
• Maintain records and report inspection results to leadership.
• Utilize precision measuring tools (mics, calipers, gauges) and CMMs.
