Job summary

Danville Metal Stamping Co., Inc. is hiring entry-level Inspectors to perform in-process and final dimensional and visual inspection of parts prior to shipment.

Inspectors will use micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other gauges to verify specifications and read blue prints, with cross-training into CMM and Whitelight when applicable. Qualified candidates should have basic math/geometry skills, computer literacy, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience with inspection and/or manufacturing processes preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blue prints and customer specifications.
• Demonstrated math and geometry skills.
• Strong problem-solving, organization, and attention to detail.
• Must have basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final dimensional and visual inspection of parts prior to shipment.
• Utilize measurement tools to verify specifications.
• Read and interpret blue prints and specs.
• Complete paperwork for inspection processes.
• Cross-train into other inspection methods (e.g., CMM and Whitelight).
• Maintain 6S and housekeeping.
