Job summary

W3Global in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Quality Control Inspector Technician with strong dimensional-inspection experience, blueprint-reading skills, and experience with close-tolerance machined components. This full-time role focuses on ensuring parts meet customer, engineering, and internal quality requirements.

You will perform detailed inspections, read GD&T, maintain calibration records, support gage R&R and MSA studies, document results, and communicate nonconformities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing, machining, or precision production.
• Strong experience performing dimensional inspections on close-tolerance components.
• Experience completing first-article inspection documentation.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
• Experience with precision metrology tools including optical comparators, profilometers, height gauges, thread gauges.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed dimensional inspections of machined components against drawings and specifications.
• Complete first-article inspections and prepare inspection reports.
• Read and apply blueprints, including GD&T.
• Use and maintain precision tools (optical comparators, profilometers, gauges).
• Verify calibration of inspection tools and gauges.
• Support gage R&R studies and measurement-system analysis.
• Document inspection results and communicate nonconformities.
• Assist with in-process, final, and first-piece inspections.
• Maintain organized inspection records using Word and Excel.
• Follow safety and workplace procedures.
