Job summary

sg360 is seeking an Inserting Setup Mechanic to join our production team in Wheeling, IL. The role focuses on setting up, operating, and maintaining inserting equipment to ensure efficient, high-quality output and safe operations.

Responsibilities include machine start/stop, jam removal, glue system setup, and coordination with supervision and maintenance to minimize downtime. A high school diploma or GED and mechanical aptitude are required; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills required.
• Ability to read and follow job tickets and document production.
• Experience with inserting equipment preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Start/stop the machine (normal stop and estop).
• Safely remove jams from equipment without injury or damage.
• Identify glue requirements and maintain glue tanks.
• Communicate requirements with team members, supervision and maintenance.
• Complete production documentation and submit to supervisor.
• Respond to QC alerts and take corrective actions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Know positions on the line to assist others.
