Job summary

PCI Group is seeking an Inserting Operator to produce inserted materials in line with Standard Work Processes, ensuring quality and meeting output goals at our Pineville, NC facility.

Responsibilities include setting up and operating inserting machines, performing routine maintenance, following QC procedures, and coordinating with adjacent departments while maintaining safety and 5S standards. High attention to detail and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required; vocational or technical diploma preferred.
• Experience in a mail facility with high-volume/high-speed inserting machines preferred.
• Language proficiency: ability to read and write in English.
• Technical skills: basic computer skills, understanding of workflows, and job tickets.

Responsibilities

• Follow Standard Work procedures.
• Make ready, operate, maintain and troubleshoot inserting process as needed.
• Follow QC Procedures and complete logs and related tasks.
• Collaborate with Assistant Operator to ensure correct processing of finished materials.
• Understand machine capabilities to achieve optimum print quality.
• Maintain workflow efficiency by evaluating processes at each production stage.
• Create a predictable process with preventive maintenance, proper setup, routine inserting procedures, and quality checks.
• Perform adjustments accurately according to procedures to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with Pressroom, Mail Dispatch, Warehouse, Shipping, and Technicians.
• Ensure safety and OSHA standards are followed.
• Maintain 5S standards and area cleanliness while driving improvements.
• All other tasks as assigned by Lead, Manager, or Senior Management.
