Job summary

South Bay Solutions seeks a dependable Horizontal CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will operate horizontal machining centers, load/unload materials, and perform inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.

The ideal candidate can work independently, read blueprints, and maintain quality while following safety procedures. Openings: 2. Schedule includes Day and Swing shifts with early start times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience reading blueprints and technical specifications.
• Ability to read precision measuring tools.
• Experience with horizontal machining centers preferred.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic math and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate horizontal CNC machining centers safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Load and unload raw materials and partially finished parts.
• Verify part numbers, materials, tooling, and job requirements before production.
• Maintain or exceed established production standards while meeting quality requirements.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
• Change cutting tools and make basic tool, offset, and machine adjustments as needed.
• Monitor machine operation and identify potential quality or equipment issues.
