Job summary

Celeros Flow Technology in Downey, CA is seeking a Machinist with horizontal boring experience to join our shop. The role focuses on pumps or rotating equipment and requires setup, operation, and tool selection on manual machines.

You will read blueprints, measure with calipers and micrometers, maintain tight tolerances, train others, and uphold safe practices. The shift runs 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with pay between $30 and $35 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5–10 years horizontal boring experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools.
• Experience working with tight tolerances of +/- .001.
• Experience with materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and composites.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Milling and Turning machines; use tools for manual operation.
• Read work orders and select tooling and work centers.
• Obtain and install proper tooling and cutting tools.
• Use gauges and precision instruments to ensure tolerances.
• Clean parts and burrs after machining; train others on tools and operations.
