Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced CNC Horizontal Boring Bar Operator to join our heavy machining team in Wisconsin. You will handle large OEM and job shop components, perform setups, tooling changes, and precise adjustments, and read blueprints with GD&T to ensure tight tolerances.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with CNC horizontal boring mills in a heavy industrial setting and a solid track record in quality inspection and collaboration with engineering and QA teams.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC horizontal boring mills in heavy OEM manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform own inspections.
• Experience with tight tolerance machining.
• Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling, and setups.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC horizontal boring bar machines on large OEM and job shop components.
• Perform setups, tooling changes, offsets, and machine adjustments.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and machining specifications.
• Machine large fabricated and cast components to tight tolerances.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment.
• Work closely with programming, engineering, and quality teams.
• Maintain safe and organized work areas.

• Large-part machining
• Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, or similar controls
• Crane or rigging experience
