Job summary

Stocks General Contractors LLC is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to support underground utility and site development projects. You will operate excavators, loaders, dozers, and skid steers with a strong emphasis on safety, precision, and efficiency.

You will work alongside pipe crews to install water, sewer, and storm systems, read plans, and maintain elevations. This role requires 3–5+ years of experience and a proactive, reliable work ethic in field environments.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in construction.
• Strong understanding of excavation, grading, and utility work.
• Ability to operate safely in tight or complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, and skid steers.
• Perform trenching, grading, and backfilling for underground utility installation.
• Safely excavate around existing utilities and structures.
• Work alongside pipe crews to support installation of water, sewer, and storm systems.
• Maintain proper grades and elevations according to project specifications.
• Read and follow basic plans, grade stakes, and site layouts.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance checks.
• Follow all company and OSHA safety standards.
