Job summary

Ledge Creek Development Inc is seeking an experienced heavy equipment operator to support underground utility installation and civil construction projects. The role involves operating excavators, backhoes, skid steers, loaders and more, with a hands-on approach to labor duties as needed.

Qualifications

OSHA 10 Certification required; OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
Strong understanding of safe digging practices, utility locating procedures, and OSHA excavation standards.
Ability to read and interpret job site plans, utility markings, maps, and work instructions.
Valid CDL driver's license required.
Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment (10 tons and below).

Responsibilities

Operate heavy construction equipment (excavators, backhoes, skid steers, loaders) to support underground utility installation and civil construction.
Perform excavation, trenching, backfilling, grading, material handling and site restoration per project specs.
Load, unload, transport and organize materials, tools and supplies at job sites.
Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure safe operation.
Assist with manual labor tasks, job site cleanup and traffic control as needed.
Complete and maintain equipment logs, maintenance records, inspection reports and safety documentation.
