Job summary

Alfa Laval in Richmond, VA is seeking an assembly specialist to join our production team. You will assemble gasket plate heat exchangers using hand and power tools, follow blueprints, and perform quality checks to ensure finished products meet specifications.

This role requires strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work with SOPs and 5S practices. You will document processes, participate in continuous improvement, and support safety policies on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• High School or GED minimum.
• Crane & Forklift certifications, nice to have.
• Some experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Able to read drawings, blueprints, manufacturing orders etc.
• Basic Computer Skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components using hand and power tools to build finished products.
• Follow blueprints and SOPs; perform quality checks and document processes.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and report deviations.
• Participate in 5S routines and Kaizen improvements on the production floor.
• Collaborate with team members and other functions to meet production targets and safety standards.
