Job summary

Alfa Laval in Richmond, VA seeks an assembler to join our team for gasket plate heat exchanger assembly. You will assemble products using diagrams and blueprints, perform quality checks, document steps, and maintain a clean, safe workspace while collaborating with team members.

This role requires passing three welding tests, reading weld maps, and working with cranes/forklifts. Some weekend work may be required; a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Pass three welding tests: 6G TIG pipe, 1G TIG titanium plate, 2G flux core weld.
• Read weld maps and welding drawings.
• Able to perform routine tasks without supervision.
• Able to operate a crane and forklift.
• Wear PPE properly and adhere to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products or components using tools and diagrams/blueprints.
• Perform quality checks and document processes.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and collaborate with team members.
• Be willing to work weekends when required.
